Illustration Friday #28 "Storm"

"Nemo" the Blizzard of 2013 dumped 3 feet of snow in Massachusetts last week. I marveled at how the birds managed the howling winds and weather. They came to the feeders before it got too bad and gobbled enough suet and feed to last them through the next Stormy day.

Last week I was excited to see my first bluebird of the season. Now we are in the middle of a snowstorm and I worry about my little blue friend. I hope he is capable of finding food and shelter until the snow melts.

Illustration Friday #25 "Fluid"

The word this week is Fluid. I remember being mesmerized by the many glass bowls of live Betta Fighting Fish at carnivals when I was as a kid; beautifully colored and moving in slow fluid swishes. I also remember feeling bad for the fish living in those little globes of water.
